A third-generation Filipinx-American, Lisa Suguitan Melnick is a writer and author, a Sound and Music Practitioner certified by the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a community college professor in the Kinesiology Division, teaching yoga and energy awareness classes for students, staff, and faculty. She also teaches Filipinx literature in the Katipunan Learning Community @ CSM.
